Due to COVID-19, Rhode Island ABA (RIABA) has moved to providing virtual continuing education opportunities for its members. This shift to online synchronous CEU opportunities has proven to be beneficial to practicing behavior analysts by minimizing travel time to a physical destination where they can receive CEUs, connect with other BCBAs in the state, and quickly return to their clients. RIABA is grateful for Dr. Cody Morris, new program director of the master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis program at Salve Regina University for developing and presenting approximately 18 CEUs in the areas of functional assessment, COVID-19 practice considerations, and disrupting escalating class hierarchies. Dr. Morris has also been instrumental in contacting presenters and organizing a special event entitled “Antiracist Actions in Behavior Analysis” (4 CEUS) for RIABA. We are also grateful for Dr. Emma Grauerholz-Fisher, new professor in the master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis Program at Salve Regina University for their development and presentation of the CEU event “Directly Assessing Quality of Care” (3 CEUS). At this time, RIABA is focused on establishing itself as a Continuing Education Provider for BCBAs in Rhode Island as well as a place where BCBAs can connect with each other for professional support. RIABA will plan to continue to offer CEU events where BCBAs in Rhode Island can grow professionally and connect with others for support.
